Fatally stabbed when attacked by a mob attempting to free a prisoner.

Died 19 July 1897, aged 29

Fatally injured when attacked by a mob attempting to free a prisoner.

Died 26 October 1901, aged 24

Fatally injured by a brick thrown by a disorderly gang he had warned.

Accidentally struck by a train while on protection duty at a rail tunnel.

Killed in a head-on collision with a car while on motorcycle patrol.

Collapsed and died pushing a van which was causing an obstruction.

Fatally injured when his patrol car was involved in a road accident.

Killed in a car crash escorting two men being extradited from South Africa.

Stabbed to death attempting to arrest a violent suspect armed with a knife.

Posthumously awarded the Queen's Gallantry Medal.

Died 20 October 2004, aged 47

Fatally injured while on duty when he was accidentally struck by a bus.

Died suddenly of suspected heart failure after being taken ill on duty.

Died following injuries received when struck by a vehicle in November 2019.
