PC Thomas Bishop Died 21 September 1877, aged 37 Fatally struck with stones by a drunken man he had warned ar Bere Regis. PC Sidney George Wood Died 26 April 1908, aged 27 Died after crashing his bicycle on a steep hill searching for a thief at Charmouth. PC Wilfred Charles Viney Died 25 July 1930, aged 31 Killed riding pillion in a motorcycle crash on plain clothes night patrol. PC Sidney F. Loader Died 8 September 1938, aged 40 Fatally injured in a collision with a car on bicycle patrol at Winterborne Abbas. PC Alfred E. Head Fatally injured in a road accident cycling to court in bad weather at Poole. Died 19 October 1938, aged 46 PC Stanley Ivor Marsh Died 9 February 1939, aged 24 Died as a result of injuries received in 1938 whilst attempting to stop a car. RPC Walter Charles BillettDied 5 July 1940, aged 61 Killed in a fall from his bicycle while reporting for duty in the blackout. PC Cecil Robert Budden Died 19 May 1957, aged 27 Fatally injured in collision with a car while on motorcycle patrol at Yeovilton. Insp Kenneth Frederick Innell Died 13 December 1982, aged 44 Collapsed and died during an incident while on duty at Poole Quay. SC Sean Oxford Died 7 May 1992, aged 21 Collapsed and died during warm up exercises for self defence training. PC Stephen Wilson Died 16 May 1996, aged 37 Fatally injured in a motorcycle accident while reporting for night duty. Insp Ian Leslie Toomer Died 20 April 1999, aged 50 Killed in a road accident when his police car crashed in wet weather. DC Robin PovallDied 7 March 2003, aged 50 Fatally injured in a collision with a car while cycling home from duty. DC Ian James MortonDied 26 October 2008, aged 32 Killed in a road traffic accident while reporting for duty at Bournemouth. DC Jonathan Mark HickenDied 6 October 2019, aged 47 Whilst walking to work at Bournemouth he collapsed and died from heart failure. LEST WE FORGET |
