Died 5 October 2015, aged 34

Killed when struck by a stolen vehicle being pursued by police at Wallasey during the early hours, following a burglary, and which mounted the central reservation as he was attempting to stop it by deploying a 'stop stick' device.

Two men, 18 and 30 years, were later arrested, the first charged with murder of PC Phillips and the attempted wounding of his colleague PC Birkett, and both charged with burglary and aggravated unauthorised taking of a motor vehicle.

Dave had nine years police service in Merseyside where he worked as a neighbourhood patrol officer.

He is survived by his wife and two daughters aged seven and three years.

Died 14 April 2015, aged 28

Humberside Police badge

Died in hospital from injuries received on 13 April when he lost control of his police motorcycle on a bend and was in collision with a car on the opposite carriageway, while on motorcycle patrol with a colleague at Burstwick.

A coroner's inquest returned a verdict of accidental death.

Russ was a roads policing officer working from the Force's base in Melton, having previously worked as a beat officer on the streets of North East Lincolnshire.

He is survived by his parents and fiancée.

Died 27 November 2015, aged 38

Metropolitan Police

While returning home from a night shift he collaped and later died in hospital.

Sahib was joined the Met in December 2003 and spent his service in Westminster most recently in the West End Impact Zone.

He is survived by his wife and a baby daughter who was born shortly after he died.

Avon and Somerset Constabulary

Died 11 March 2015, aged 40

Avon and Somerset Constabulary badge

Died suddenly after being taken ill whilst on patrol duty at Frome.

Kevin had 12 years service as a response officer and a neighbourhood officer around Shepton Mallet, Wells and Street and was involved with the Police Cadets.

He is survived by his wife, two sons aged 17 and 11 and a daughter aged 6 years.
