Died 1 February 2010, aged 22

Wiltshire Police Badge

Died in a road traffic accident, whilst responding to an urgent call for assistance from officers dealing with an incident during the evening at Trowbridge, when his police patrol car left the road and collided with a tree near Bradford-on-Avon.

Dan joined Wiltshire Police in May 2007, following service as a Special Constable
and was stationed at Trowbridge where he worked as a response officer.

He was single man and is survived by his parents and brother with whom he lived.

Died 5 March 2010, aged 25

Metropolitan Police Crest

Died in a road accident while travelling to report for duty in the early morning when his motorcycle was in collision with a vehicle at Clifton, Bedfordshire.

Dan was appointed to the Metropolitan Police Service in August 2004 and served at Camden Borough before joining 2 Area Territorial Support Group at Finchley.

He is survived by his parents and brother and his fiancée with whom he lived;
both his father and fiancée are serving officers in the Metropolitan Police.

Died 6 April 2010, aged 37

Died when his motorcycle was in collision with a car, in the late evening at
Denham, whilst he was travelling home from duty at Hillingdon Borough.

Sean served as a Special Constable with Thames Valley Police prior to joining the Metropolitan Police in June 2003 where he worked from Hayes Police Station.

He is survived by his wife and 1 year old son.

Gareth Gallagher

Died 17 May 2010, aged 22

Died after his car was involved in a road traffic accident late on the previous evening near Ballymagorry whilst travelling to report for duty at Strabane.

Gareth was appointed in November 2007 and served at Strabane in Co. Tyrone.

He is survived by his parents, sister and girlfriend.


Gary Grieves

Died 14 August 2010, aged 46

PSNI Badge

Died in a road traffic collision between a car and his motorcycle at Portglenone while travelling home after completing duty at a major public order event.

Gary was appointed in 1997 after 13 years service in the Royal Navy, he served in Strabane and Belfast before joining the Tactical Support Group at Portglenone in 2010.

He is survived by his partner, his son aged 13, two daughters aged 3 years and 6 months, his parents and two brothers.

Died 8 October 2010, aged 55

Strathclyde Police logo

Died when his bicycle was in a collision with a car near Eaglesham whilst cycling with colleagues during a lunch break at the force training centre.

Neil was based at the Strathclyde Police Training and Recruitment Centre at Jackton.

He is survived by his wife and adult daughter.
