The following officers are  included, with additional details, in the Book of
Remembrance at the Metropolitan Police Memorial at the Peel Centre, Hendon,
which was dedicated by Her Majesty The Queen in 2001.

Names highlighted in bold are also included in the Roll of Honour at New Scotland Yard of officers who lost their lives carrying out dangerous duties or acts of gallantry since 1920.

Saved a colleague's life whilst sub-aqua diving at the cost of his own life.

Fatally injured on 20 September when struck by a car which failed to stop.

Died 26 December 2014, aged 45

Died after a seizure causing a head injury while returning home from duty.


PC David Charles Arthur

Died 26 December 2014, aged 50

On 15 December he became unwell on duty and died after multiple strokes.


PC Sahib Lalli

Died 27 November 2015, aged 38

While returning home from a night shift he collaped and later died in hospital.


PC Keith Palmer

Died 22 March 2017, aged 48

Fatally stabbed in a terrorist incident protecting the Houses of Parliament.

Posthumously awarded the George Medal for Gallantry.

Died 25 December 2018, aged 39

Died from complications of surgery on an injury sustained in an arrest in May.

Died 1 May 2019, aged 56

Collapsed whilst policing Richmond Park and died the same day.

Died in a motorcycle collision whilst travelling to duty in the early morning.

Shot and fatally wounded by a man being detained at Croydon Custody Centre.
