PC Herbert Millington Jay

 Died 19 June 1929, aged 31

 Accidentally struck by a lorry after he stopped a bus at night at Hockcliffe.


SC Sydney Kingham Dunkley

Died 1 October 1939, aged 45

 Killed when a car  hit his stationary vehicle while on night duty at Bedford.


PC Alfred Donald Warton

Died 10 April 1948, aged 35

Fatally injured when his patrol car crashed and overturned at Bedford.


PC Robert Housden

Died 8 December 1954, aged 22

Hit by a car and killed while warning traffic of flood water at night at Bedford.


PC John James Weller

Died 10 June 1966, aged 34

Died from a fractured skull after falling in the station yard while going off duty.

PC Geoffrey Ivor Ball

Died 16 February 1983, aged 32

 Fatally injured at Astwick when his police motorcycle collided with a  lorry.


Sgt Ronald Hunter

Died 30 December 1985, aged 52

  Collapsed and died from heart failure on duty at Biggleswade Police Station.


Sgt Robert Charles Pearman

Died 11 December 1995, aged 42

Collapsed and died whilst dealing with the scene of a road accident at Luton.


PC John Stephen Simmons

Died 5 August 2006, aged 27

Killed in a motorcycle accident while travelling home from football duty.


PC Jonathan Charles Henry

Died 11 June 2007, aged 36

Fatally stabbed attempting to arrest a knifeman attacking the public in Luton.
